- Warming conditions through most of the week
- Low to medium rain chances northeast Tuesday and Wednesday

.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1145 AM CST Mon Feb 2 2026
A few showers are noted in the marine areas today while we have a
bit of short wave energy passing over the region and plenty of
moisture advection. While these will mainly stay offshore, a brief
sprinkle or shower can not be ruled out mainly in the northern
Coastal Bend. Could also see some streamer showers tomorrow
morning. Less mid-upper level support, but plenty of moisture
convergence.
Southwesterly winds in the lower to mid-level tomorrow will help
temperatures rise to well above normal levels. Several locations
inland should top 80 degrees. Rest easy though, our records
should be safe, as they are all in the 90s! Our next cold front is
set to push through the area Tuesday night bringing a breezy north
wind for Wednesday along with high temperatures in the lower 70s.
Some marine fog will be possible ahead of the front. The end of
the week into the weekend looks pretty quiet with narrow ridging
building over the middle of the country between two large systems
east and west. Highs warm back to the upper 70s and lower 80s by
the weekend.

.AVIATION...
(18Z TAFS)
Issued at 1145 AM CST Mon Feb 2 2026
Breezy conditions have developed today and will persist into the
evening before subsiding mainly to light levels, though CRP may
keep a moderate sustained wind through the night. VFR to MVFR CIGS
can be expected overnight before returning to VFR again by late
Tuesday morning.
&&
.MARINE...
Issued at 1145 AM CST Mon Feb 2 2026
Winds will increase this afternoon with strong south to
southeasterly flow tonight through Tuesday morning. A small craft
advisory is in effect for this period. Winds subside Tuesday
afternoon, but will once again increase overnight into Wednesday
morning behind a cold front that will push through the area. A few
showers will be possible through Wednesday.
&&
.FIRE WEATHER...
Issued at 1145 AM CST Mon Feb 2 2026
RH will continue to increase today with onshore flow continuing to
pump moisture back into the region. ERC values remain generally low,
and the potential for critical fire conditions is low. There is a
low to medium chance for showers toward the middle of next week
mainly in the northern Coastal Bend as a cold front swings through
the area. Relative humidity values will fall behind the front to low
levels (<30%) but winds will remain generally at light to moderate
levels.
