1) Warm and humid conditions return on Sunday along with a chance
for showers and thunderstorms early next week.

.DISCUSSION...
KEY MESSAGE 1)

Surface high pressure shifts east this weekend which will allow
warmer temperatures and higher dew points to move back into the area
from the south. Shower and thunderstorm chances return with the
summer-like conditions as northwesterly flow aloft persists. Rain
chances remain lower during the day on Sunday with lack of forcing
before increased rain chances develop Sunday night and into early
next week. One potential period for increased storm activity is
Monday evening and Monday night. Instability may end up overlapping
with strong shear (by July standards) when a potential cluster of
storms or MCS sinks into the Ohio Valley from the northwest. Details
remain very murky without CAM guidance to resolve potential
convection, but there are descent probabilities for storms somewhere
in the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley late Monday. Additionally, storm
chances on Sunday night cannot be ruled out with favorable shear and
instability in place and some guidance showing at least some storm
potential in the region.

Additionally, the heat index may reach 95-100 degrees on Monday
afternoon.

.AVIATION /00Z SATURDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY/...
Extensive high clouds to start the period will diminish overnight.
Winds will be light which will be favorable for fog formation at KLUK
and also perhaps KILN and KLCK. Visibility restrictions should end
around 12Z. Some cumulus may develop in the Columbus area on
Saturday. Elsewhere, a mid deck will spread into the area.

OUTLOOK...Thunderstorms possible Sunday night and then again Monday
afternoon through Tuesday.
