.DISCUSSION...
Upper longwave trough has moved into the W Atlantic Ocean with
troughing back into the Gulf of Mexico keep the dry W-NW flow
aloft. At the surface, high pressure is settling into and
weakening over the Deep South keeping the cold and very dry
airmass in place. Expect a cold night by FL standards areawide
with light winds, clear skies and radiational cooling for rapidly
falling temps after sunset. These conditions to support another
night of patchy frost in Levy County as well. Overnight temps
bottom out about 10 degrees below climate normals.
The area of weak high pressure is expected to stall over the FL
Peninsula and stay in place Mon-Thu with dry conditions, light
winds and a slow warming trend. On Friday, a mainly dry cold
front will sweep over the area bringing another dry and cold
airmass into the region for next weekend on gusty NW winds.

High pressure weakening over the region will keep the cool and
dry VFR conditions in place with light NW winds through 00Z then
becoming light and variable tonight with SKC through the forecast
period.

.MARINE...
High pressure will remain in the region and weaken with winds and
seas decreasing through Sunday. Pleasant boating conditions
return to the Eastern Gulf waters Monday into mid week with light
winds and clear skies prevailing.

.FIRE WEATHER...
High pressure to remain in the region into early next week keeping
the very dry and cool conditions in place. Humidity values and
temperatures are expected to slowly increase into mid week with
generally light winds that may produce low dispersion values.
