.SYNOPSIS...
AN UPPER-LEVEL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO BRING CHANCES
FOR ISOLATED AFTERNOON AND EVENING MOUNTAIN THUNDERSTORMS TODAY
AND TOMORROW, ALONG WITH AN INCREASED DELTA BREEZE. TEMPERATURES
WILL FOLLOW A SLIGHT COOLING TREND, FELT MAINLY THROUGH THE DELTA
AND SOUTHERN SACRAMENTO VALLEY. DRIER AND WARMER CONDITIONS THEN
RESUME FRIDAY AND THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK AS WEAK UPPER-LEVEL
RIDGING SETS UP OVER THE AREA.

.KEY MESSAGES...

* TODAY & THURSDAY:

-OVERALL MORE SEASONABLE TEMPERATURES WITH BREEZY WEST-
     SOUTHWEST WINDS THROUGH THE DELTA (20-30 MPH) AND SOUTHERN
     SACRAMENTO VALLEY (15-25 MPH).

-ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORM CHANCES DURING THE AFTERNOON AND
     EVENING TODAY THROUGH THURSDAY ACROSS THE MOUNTAINS AND
     FOOTHILLS.

- PROBABILITY OF THUNDERSTORMS:
- TODAY: 20-40%, HIGHEST ALONG SIERRA/SOUTHERN CASCADES
- THURSDAY: 10-20%, HIGHEST ALONG SIERRA SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 50

* FRIDAY - TUESDAY:

-ABOVE-NORMAL TEMPERATURES RETURN WITH BREEZY NORTH WINDS ON
     FRIDAY (20 TO 30 MPH) THROUGH THE WESTERN PORTION OF THE
     SACRAMENTO VALLEY.

-MINOR HEATRISK RETURNS TO THE VALLEY

-PROBABILITY OF HIGH TEMPERATURES 80 DEGREES F OR HIGHER:
- NORTHERN/CENTRAL SACRAMENTO VALLEY: 50 TO 70%
- DELTA, SOUTHERN SACRAMENTO AND NORTHERN SAN JOAQUIN VALLEYS:
          40 TO 70%

VFR conditions expected over the next 24 hours at TAF site, with
winds increasing today after 20z to 12-14 kt with gusts to 20 to

Thursday. There is a 15-25% chance of isolated mountain
thunderstorms from 19Z-03Z this aft/eve.
