.SYNOPSIS...Dry weather with above normal temperatures will
persist through early this week. Near record high temperatures
will be possible today, tomorrow and Christmas Eve. A passing
weather disturbance will then cool afternoon temperatures
beginning Christmas Day.

.DISCUSSION...Although upper heights are lowering, the low levels
remain rather warm with record or near record highs continuing
through Christmas Eve. Satellite imagery this morning showed
mostly clear conditions with a few wisps of cirrus passing through
under W/NW flow aloft. This will be changing later today as the
high level cloud cover over srn CA moves across the area.

An upper level trof moving thru the Great Basin and 4 corners area
on Christmas day will bring cooler temperatures to the area along
with a chance of snow showers to the White mountains. The Whites
will see another chance of snow showers late Thursday night into
Friday morning.

.AVIATION...Valid through 23/12Z.
SKC to FEW thin cirrus AOA 20k ft thru 22/20z then increasing
clouds AOA 18k ft thru the end of valid pd. SFC winds terrain
driven less than 10 kts thru 22/18z then again after 23/02z. At
other hours SFC winds W/NW less than 10 kts. Aviation discussion
not updated for TAF amendments.

.FIRE WEATHER...Dry conditions with above normal temperatures
through the first half of this week. A passing disturbance in the
later in the week will bring cooler temperatures and a chance of
showers to the White Mountains Christmas Day and Friday. Minimum
relative humidity values 10 to 15 percent in the valleys into the
middle of this week, with 15 to 25 percent expected in the higher
terrain. 20-foot winds will mainly be less than 15 mph through
the this week.
