.SHORT TERM...Tonight through Thursday night...Mild temperatures
and drier conditions have moved into the area south of a warm
front which has now moved well to the north of Baker City and
McCall. Clouds are also diminishing across southeastern Oregon
this afternoon with clearing expected across portions southwestern
Idaho early this evening. Temperatures are running 15 to 20
degrees above seasonal normals. The mild weather will continue
tomorrow but clouds will move back into the area along with an
increasing chance or rain. A strong pressure gradient will also
develop across southern Oregon and Southern Idaho tomorrow.
This will bring strong southerly winds to the highlands of
southern Idaho near the Nevada boarder and to portions of Harney
and Malheur Counties in southern Oregon where a wind advisory
has been issued for tomorrow. The mild weather is expected to
continue through Christmas day with winds slackening. There is a
70 percent chance of rain on Christmas day across much of the
central Idaho mountains where snow levels will remain above 7000
feet. Lesser chances of rain 20 to 40 percent chance) are
forecast on Christmas day across the rest of southwestern Idaho
and southeastern Oregon.


.AVIATION...Precipitation continuing to move north near KBKE/KMYL,
exiting our area by Tue/19z. Fog/low stratus continuing in the Lower
Treasure Valley through the morning. VFR/IFR in Precipitation,
MVFR/LIFR in fog/low stratus. Conditions improving to VFR under
overcast skies by early afternoon. Snow levels: 6-7 kft MSL. Surface
winds: SW-SE 5-15 kt with gusts to 20-30 kt this evening. Winds
aloft at 10kft MSL: SW 25-45 kt.

KBOI....VFR under overcast high clouds. Surface winds: SE 8-12 kt,
increasing to SE 12-17 kt with gusts to 27 kt overnight into
Wednesday morning.
