- Above normal temperatures are expected each day through the
  weekend.

- Rain chances increase each day through the weekend, with mainly
  afternoon and early evening showers and thunderstorms possible
  each day into next week.

- Severe to extreme drought conditions continue for most areas.

It has been another pleasant and hot day with rain-free conditions
this afternoon. Temperatures were well above average across west
central and southwest Florida with daytime high temperatures topping
out in the low to mid 90s. Rain-free conditions expected to continue
overnight. Overnight lows will dip into the upper 60s to low 70s
with daytime highs on Saturday reaching the low to mid 90s once
again. No changes needed to current forecast.

VFR and rain-free conditions expected through the period. Light
winds less than 10 knots expected overnight, then winds will pick up
a bit on Saturday afternoon to around 10-15 knots.

Northwest winds continue this evening with high pressure over the
region. By this weekend, southeast to east flow will establish,
turning onshore at the coast each afternoon with the sea breeze.
Winds will generally remain below headlines, but thunderstorms could
shift offshore during the late afternoon and evening hours each day,
leading to locally higher winds and seas.
