.SYNOPSIS...
Isolated light showers, mainly over the coastal waters into
coastal areas, are expected to end during the morning. It will
then be dry and warmer through Wednesday with Wednesday high
temperatures around average. A low pressure system moving inland
in the vicinity of northern Baja around Thursday could bring a
chance of showers for southwestern California for Wednesday night
and Thursday. Then dry and warmer for Friday and Saturday
followed by cooling for Sunday and Monday of next week.

COUNTIES...
.SHORT TERM (Today through Wednesday)...
Scattered showers over the coastal waters will spread toward the
southeast and into coastal areas into this morning before
dissipating during the morning. Dry weather with warming will
then follow through Wednesday.
High temperatures today will be around 10 degrees below average
for inland areas to as much as 10 to 20 degrees below average for
the higher elevations in the mountains. High temperatures for
today will warm as much as 5 to 10 degrees for the mountains. High
temperatures on Tuesday will warm another 5 to 10 degrees for
inland areas and as much as another 10 to 15 degrees for the
mountains. High temperatures on Wednesday will be another few
degrees warmer. Wednesday high temperatures will be mostly within
a few degrees of average, ranging from the mid to upper 60s near
the coast to the mid 70s to lower 80s for the Inland Empire with
the lower deserts around 90.

.LONG TERM (Thursday through Sunday)...
A low pressure system well off the coast of northern Baja on
Tuesday will move slowly eastward and may move inland somewhere in
the vicinity of northern Baja and far southern California some
time around Thursday. For Wednesday night and Thursday, the
chance for measurable rainfall ranges from around 10 to 15 percent
near the coast to around 25 percent in the mountains with the
chance for one-half inch or more of rainfall in the mountains
around 10 percent. High temperatures on Thursday will be a few to
around 5 degrees cooler.
Drying and warming is expected for Friday and Saturday with high
temperatures for inland areas warming 5 to 10 degrees on Friday
and another few degrees for most areas on Saturday. High
temperatures on Saturday will be 5 to 10 degrees above average for
inland areas, ranging from around 70 near the coast to the 80s for
the Inland Empire with the lower deserts in the mid to upper 90s.
Another low pressure system will bring more cooling for Sunday
and Monday of next week with high temperatures on Sunday falling
to around average and as much as 5 to 10 degrees below average for
inland areas next Monday.

coast through 17Z. Scatter out from coast toward valleys after 17Z.

.Mountains/Deserts...Areas of coastal facing terrain obscured
in clouds and FG through 18Z. Gusty westerly winds 25-35 kts,
locally to 45 kts, will pick up after 21Z and continue through 08Z.
Mod to strong up/downdrafts near peaks and on desert slopes.
