and the Indian Wells Valley until 5 AM on Sunday.

3. Major cool down on Saturday into Sunday with humidities
slowly recovering. Better recovery occurring across the Sierra
Nevada.

4. Wind gusts pick up through the weekend. A High Wind Warning
is in effect for the Mojave Slopes through 2 AM Sunday and a

.DISCUSSION...
Deep trough digging toward Central California and expected to
cross the region in the next 24 hours. With this disturbance,
strong winds and a significant cool down will occur by this
weekend. Yet, the strong winds will interact with the dry air
across Central California and generate Elevated Fire Weather
Condition through Sunday morning.

Probability of Exceedance (PoE) of reaching 90 degree will
remain at low percentages over the next few days as Valley
temperatures struggle to reach 90 degrees. PoE of 90 degrees
reaches the 50% mark by Monday and shows a steady claim during
the week. PoE of 100 degree finally occurs on Friday when
percentages reach around 50%. Therefore, while temperatures will
struggle to reach the century mark, Friday will be the most
likely day. Afterward, PoE shows a drop in percentages and
another cool down occurs.

Wind will be another issue as the next disturbance is ready to
cross the district during the next 24 hours. The significant
drop in temperatures will help generate a strong pressure
gradient from KSFO to KLAS. Ensembles surface pressure analysis
is indicating gradients reach ranges of 14mb-18mb on Saturday.
At these levels, wind gusting to 50-60 mph have high confidence
in occurring as PoE values sit at around 70%-90% on Saturday.
Therefore, will maintain the High Wind products in place and
extend the Red Flag Warning through Sunday as humidity will be
slow to rise during the weekend. Strong winds across the San
Joquin Valley on Saturday will also prompt a Red Flag Warning
for the West Side of the Valley, including the West Hills.

&&

.AVIATION...
18Z Update:

VFR conditions will prevail for the next 24 hours across the
Central California Interior. A 70%-90% chance of surface Wind
G50KT across Kern County near KMHV and KIYK from 21Z Today
through 10Z Saturday.

&&

.AIR QUALITY ISSUES...
