.SYNOPSIS...
Dry weather continues into next week. Slight cooldown expected
through the weekend with periods on breezy onshore flow. Warming
trend by Tuesday, followed by areas of Moderate HeatRisk in the
Valley and foothills on Wednesday. Cooling trend expected late
next week with stronger onshore flow.

.KEY MESSAGES...

* Today-Monday:

 -Seasonable temperatures are expected through early next week.

 -Probability of Valley High Temperatures > 90F:
  --Northern/Central Sacramento Valley: 50-90% Sun- Mon
  --Delta, S. Sac Valley, N. San Joaquin Valley: 35-70% Sun- Mon

 -Onshore flow expected to persist with periods of breezy winds,
  mainly in the afternoons and evenings and strongest across the
  Delta and vicinity. Breezy westerlies over the Sierra.

* Tuesday-Thursday:

 - Above normal temperatures with areas of Moderate HeatRisk in
   the Valley and foothills by Wednesday as ridging develops.
   Potential for triple digit heat in the northern Sacramento
   Valley (40-70% probability); low to upper 90s in other Valley
   locations.

 -Probability of Valley High Temperatures > 95F:
  --Northern/Central Sacramento Valley: 50-90% Tue & Thu, 70-100%
   Wed
  --Delta, S. Sacramento Valley, N. San Joaquin Valley: 10-35%
   Tue & Thu, 50-80% Wed

 -Warming and drying trend by mid-week may bring a brief period of
  elevated fire weather conditions, mainly across the northern
  Sacramento Valley.

*Late Next Week:

 -Cooling trend expected late next week with stronger onshore
  flow. Strongest winds expected through the Delta and over the
  Sierra.

.AVIATION...

VFR conditions with mostly clear skies are expected to continue
at TAF sites over the next 24 hours. Surface winds will generally
below 12 kts. In the Delta area, there will be sustained winds
over 12 kts with gusts around 20 to 25 kts between 21z today and
06z Sunday. In the southern Sacramento Valley and northern San
Joaquin Valley after 21z today, sustained winds will get up to 12
kts with gusts around 15 to 20 kts through 06z Sunday.
