A shallow marine layer depth in place over the inner waters will
bring areas of dense fog to the inner waters south of Point Mugu.
Additionally, there is a moderate chance for dense fog to form
through the Santa Barbara Channel late tonight. Mariners should
be prepared for abrupt visibility changes down to one nautical
mile or less. Reduce speeds and be on the lookout for exposed
rocks and other vessels, including large ships in the shipping
lanes. Use radar or GPS navigation if available, and consider
remaining in harbor if such equipment is unavailable.

...HEAVY FREEZING SPRAY RETURNS TO THE NORTH...

Over the remainder of the week cold arctic air will return to the
Panhandle, forming gale force to strong gale force outflow conditions
along and north of the Icy Strait Corridor (Cross Sound to Taku
Inlet). Heavy freezing spray is anticipated to becoming more wide
spread Wednesday night and will likely continue into the weekend
for Glacier Bay, Lynn Canal, and Taku Inlet. This threat could likely
spread into areas near Pt. Couverden and Scull Island at times as
well.

YAKUTAT BAY

Mariners transiting Yakutat Bay should also be aware of strong
gale force conditions near Disenchantment Bay over the next
several days, bringing heavy freezing spray at times as well.
