.SHORT TERM /THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT/...
Issued at 253 AM MDT Wed Apr 2 2025

Cold conditions will continue through Thursday with mainly
mountain snow showers continuing. Generally an inch or less for
the most part today through tonight although in a heavier shower
this afternoon locally a couple inches may fall in the higher
elevations. Highs today will be again in the 30s mountains and
40s valleys. Lows tonight in the teens and 20s mountains and 20s
to around 30 valleys. Little changes on Thursday with upper trof
remaining in place with convective showers in the afternoon with
the light accumulations again and continued well below normal
temperatures continuing with 30s to lower 40s mountains and 40s
to around 50 again in the valleys. Lows Thursday night again
teens mountains and 20s to around 30 in the valleys once again.

.LONG TERM /FRIDAY THROUGH TUESDAY/...
Issued at 253 AM MDT Wed Apr 2 2025

Upper trough over the region will begin to move east on Friday. We
may still see a few isolated showers on Friday, but any additional
precipitation should be light. Ridge begins to build into the region
on Saturday. This will bring dry weather for the weekend. Models
continue to pick up on a weak shortwave moving into our area for
Monday into Tuesday. This system doesn`t look like a significant
storm and should just produce some isolated to scattered showers if
it materializes. Then the ridge strengthen with dry weather for
Wednesday and beyond. Temps are still expected to be below normal
Friday, but quickly rise above normal over the weekend and through
next week. Lower elevations will once again be flirting with 70
degree temps my middle of next week.

.AVIATION /12Z TAFS THROUGH 12Z THURSDAY/...
Issued at 403 AM MDT Wed Apr 2 2025

Some mvfr ceilings have developed around DIJ and will persist for
several hours this morning. Otherwise, mainly expecting scattered
snow showers to develop this afternoon. Not enough confidence to
place them on station anywhere. If a shower should happen to pass
over a terminal, expect brief mvfr to ifr conditions along with some
gusty winds. Outside of showers, winds look fairly light today with
SUN probably turning upvalley this afternoon.
