Today through Tue night...Negatively tilted upper level ridge
will keep conditions mostly dry with a warming trend through Tue
morning. There is a slight chance of some light showers due to
instability in the southeast corner on Mon afternoon. An
incoming trough will start spreading clouds and a chance of
light precipitation again Tue for the eastern and southeastern
highlands, possibly into the nearby areas of the Snake River
plain. This continues at lower threat overnight Tue night.

For today, temperatures will be in the middle 60s in the Snake
River plain to the upper 60s in the eastern Magic Valley. On
Mon, afternoon highs warm another 3 to 7 deg F, with widespread
temperatures in this same area at 70 deg F or more. The cloud
cover cools high temperatures down in the western half by 1 to 4
deg F. Overnight lows tonight will be up strongly from this
morning, by 8 to 12 deg F. For Tue night, lows will start a cool
down.

Wind will continue light with the high pressure overhead, but by
Tue afternoon wind will increase with the low moving out of
British Columbia into Alberta and increasing the gradient over
eastern Idaho. It is possible that a Wind Advisory may be needed
in the Snake River plain.

Wed through Sat...After the Tue-Wed low passes, the ensembles
are now favoring the drier pattern of a split flow with a closed
low off the CA coast and a storm track far to the north in
Canada. PoPs are all below 30 percent for any period, so they
are trending lower. High temperatures have trended upward with
with them staying at least 8 deg F above normal for the time of
year, rather than cooling to near normal. Afternoon wind appears
gusty and weakening from one afternoon to the next through the
period after a windy Wednesday.

and variable winds, generally terrain induced including at SUN.
