SMOKE:
Canada and the U.S.....
The ongoing wildfire activity in the the western U.S. and western
Canada continues to produce enormous amounts of smoke of varying density
that cover a large part of southern Canada and over half of the CONUS.
The densest smoke within this area extended from the northern Rockies
into portions of the Pacific Northwest and southern British Columbia and
Alberta. Ongoing wildfires in Oregon, northern and central California,
and northern Nevada have flared up considerably this afternoon and
evening producing large plumes of thick density smoke spreading to the
east and northeast.

An additional area of light smoke, from wildfire activity over Asia,
extends across the Yukon and parts of the Northwest Territories.
