Fog advisory in effect for:

  • Avalon Peninsula Southeast

Near zero visibility in fog is expected or occurring.

A moist southwesterly flow will continue to bring dense fog to southern Newfoundland. Fog will be most extensive during the nights and mornings, with some improvement in the afternoons away from the coast.

Areas west of the Avalon are will begin to see a period of relief from this pattern beginning on Thursday. A foggy onshore flow is forecast to continue over the coastal southern Avalon, however, through the weekend.

Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero. If travelling, be prepared for areas of near-zero visibility.

Fog advisories are issued when near zero visibilities in fog are expected or occurring.
