to Explorer.
By 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight weakening ridge located over Explorer.
At 10:30 a.m. PDT today trough from low located over Bowie.
By 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight trough from low located over Hecate Strait.
At 4:00 a.m. PDT Monday dissipating trough from low located from
Queen Charlotte Sound to Explorer.
At 4:00 a.m. PDT Monday building ridge located west of the offshore
waters.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 10:17 AM PDT 5 April 2026 Strong pressure gradient is created between a ridge of high
Pressure over the Pacific Ocean and a low pressure centre moving from
the Alaskan Panhandle to the interior of British Columbia.
This combination will give northwesterly and westerly gales to
northern waters between early Monday morning and Monday evening.
Northwesterly and westerly gales will spread to southern waters,
including the inner South Coast, on Monday afternoon.
