At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line north-south over
Quebec.
By 8:30 p.m. NST Friday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the Northeast Coast of Newfoundland.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:47 PM NST 17 December 2025 A trough of low pressure currently over New Brunswick will cross the
marine district on Thursday. Strong to gale force southwesterlies
will continue to spread across the marine district ahead of the
trough tonight before shifting to strong to gale force
northwesterlies in its wake on Thursday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle
Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
