At 3:00 a.m. AST Sunday low 1004 mb located near the St. Lawrence River. By 3:30 p.m. AST Sunday low 1000 mb located over the northeastern Gulf of St. Lawrence.
At 3:00 a.m. AST today ridge located over the western Marine District. By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight ridge located over the eastern Marine District.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:09 AM AST 6 December 2025 An intense low pressure system northeast of Newfoundland will continue to move eastward, farther away from the marine district today. A ridge of high pressure over western waters will move to lie over the eastern marine district by this evening. Gale force northwesterlies over eastern waters will diminish today.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for Laurentian Fan - northeastern half, Banquereau and Cabot Strait.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in effect for Cabot Strait, Gulf-Magdalen, Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.
