4315N 6515W to 4600N 5845W to 4715N 5915W to 4630N 5615W to
Newfoundland near 4640N 5530W. Sea ice north of the ice edge.

Ice Coverage

7 tenths grey ice except 9 tenths grey-white ice in the eastern
section. Consolidated first-year ice along parts of the coasts.

No watches or warnings in effect.

Issued 8:00 PM AST 22 February 2026 Tonight and Monday At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight departing low 970 mb located east of the
Grand Banks.

At 10:00 a.m. AST Monday low 970 mb located south of Cape Cod.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Monday low 970 mb located over Browns Bank.

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight ridge located on a line north-south over
the Maritimes.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Monday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:32 PM AST 22 February 2026 An intense low pressure system will approach from the southwest
tonight and pass south of Cape Sable Island Monday night. Gale to
storm force easterlies will develop through the day as the associated
warm front approaches. Winds will shift to gale to storm force
southwesterlies over southern waters behind the warm front late in
the day Monday, and to gale force northerlies in the wake of the low.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Fundy, Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, southwestern
shore, LaHave Bank, West Scotian Slope, Sable, and East Scotian
Slope. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except
Chaleur - Miscou - western half and Anticosti - western half.

Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Anticosti.
