Marine Weather StatementIssued 7:53 PM AST 14 November 2024 A trough of low pressure over the eastern marine district will slowly drift westward tonight and Friday. Strong to gale force northerlies will persist across the district as a result, with a shift to strong to gale force easterlies in the wake of the trough.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all waters except for Fundy, Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, Chaleur-Miscou - western half, and Anticosti - northwestern half.
Marine interests are advised that higher than normal water levels and pounding surf are expected along north and east facing coastlines of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, Cabot Strait, and Fourchu Friday and Friday night.
