over central Labrador.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Monday departing ridge located on a line
north-south over the East Labrador Sea.

At 4:00 p.m. NDT today low 991 mb located over Quebec.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT Monday low 989 mb located near Lake Melville.


Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:19 AM NDT 5 April 2026 A low pressure system east of Greenland will weaken and depart this
afternoon. Meanwhile, a ridge of high pressure over Central Labrador
will drift eastward across the district. Any lingering gale force
northwesterlies over the East Labrador Sea will diminish today as the
low departs and the ridge moves in.

Marine interests are advised that a gale warning is in effect for
East Labrador Sea.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for South Labrador Sea and East Labrador Sea.
