over Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 p.m. NST today departing ridge located east of Labrador Sea.
At 9:30 a.m. NST today deepening low 988 mb located over Anticosti
Island.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Saturday low 966 mb located over the South
Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:23 AM NST 7 February 2025 A deepening low pressure system over Anticosti Island will approach
from the southwest today and track into the Labrador Sea tonight.
Gale to storm force southeast to northeasterly winds will develop
over southern and eastern waters ahead of the low, with to gale to
storm force northwest to southwesterlies developing over most waters
in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Sea and East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect
for all remaining waters except Lake Melville.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
