At 4:00 a.m. NST today deepening low 966 mb located over western
Labrador.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Sunday low 948 mb located over the East Labrador
Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:52 AM NST 20 December 2025 An intensifying low pressure system over Western Labrador will track
over the Labrador Sea today. Gale to storm force northeasterlies to
southeasterlies will develop to the north of its track with gale to
storm force southerlies developing to the south of its track.
Storm to hurricane force north to northwesterlies will follow in the
wake of the low.
Marine interests are advised that hurricane force wind warnings are
in effect for North Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea, and Northwest
Labrador Sea. Storm warnings are in effect for all remaining waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except East Labrador Sea.
