Wind south 45 to 55 knots except south 25 to 35 over northern sections today. Wind becoming northwest 55 early this evening then diminishing to west 35 Sunday morning. Wind diminishing to west 25 Sunday afternoon then veering to northwest 15 to 20 Sunday evening.

Snow or rain becoming rain early this morning then flurries this afternoon. Fog patches dissipating this evening. Visibility 1 mile or less in fog patches and in flurries.

Freezing spray warning in effect.

Moderate freezing spray beginning this evening except severe overnight and Sunday morning.

Temperatures plus 4 falling to minus 12 to minus 7 overnight.

Today Tonight and Sunday. Seas 2 to 3 metres building to 3 to 5 near noon and to 5 to 7 early this evening. Seas building to 7 to 9 near midnight then subsiding to 4 to 6 Sunday morning and to 2 to 3 Sunday evening.

Issued 4:00 AM NST 20 December 2025 Today Tonight and Sunday At 4:00 a.m. NST today departing ridge located east of Labrador Sea.

At 4:00 a.m. NST today deepening low 966 mb located over western
Labrador.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Sunday low 948 mb located over the East Labrador
Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:52 AM NST 20 December 2025 An intensifying low pressure system over Western Labrador will track
over the Labrador Sea today. Gale to storm force northeasterlies to
southeasterlies will develop to the north of its track with gale to
storm force southerlies developing to the south of its track.
Storm to hurricane force north to northwesterlies will follow in the
wake of the low.

Marine interests are advised that hurricane force wind warnings are
in effect for North Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea, and Northwest
Labrador Sea. Storm warnings are in effect for all remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except East Labrador Sea.
