Issued 3:00 AM AST 7 December 2025 Today Tonight and Monday At 3:00 a.m. AST today low 1004 mb located near the St. Lawrence
River.
By 3:30 p.m. AST today departing low 1000 mb located over the
northeastern Gulf of St. Lawrence.
At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight intensifying low 1014 mb located over
the Gulf of Maine.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Monday departing low 997 mb located over eastern
Banquereau.
At 8:00 p.m. AST Monday approaching ridge located over the Great
Lakes.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:50 AM AST 7 December 2025 A low pressure system will track across the Northern Gulf of St.
Lawrence today. Strong westerlies are expected later today over much
of the Gulf of St. Lawrence and Cabot Strait in the wake of the low.
Another low pressure system will move into the Gulf of Maine tonight
and will track south of Nova Scotia Monday morning and then south of
Newfoundland late Monday. Strong to gale force northwesterlies will
develop across the district on Monday in the wake of the low.
In addition, freezing spray is expected over most northern and
western waters late Monday as these northwesterlies usher in cold
air.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect
Banquereau and Laurentian Fan.
Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Fundy, Grand Manan,
Lurcher, southwestern shore, eastern shore, and all of the Gulf of
St. Lawrence waters.
