By 10:00 a.m. AST Tuesday ridge located on a line north-south over
the western Marine District.


Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:48 AM AST 22 December 2025 Strong and cold northwesterly winds will spread across the district
today in the wake of a departing low pressure system northeast of
Newfoundland. These winds are expected to reach gale force for a time
over southern-most waters today. Winds will gradually ease over
western waters on Tuesday as a ridge of high pressure approaches from
the west.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank and West Scotian Slope.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Fundy, Grand Manan, eastern shore - eastern half, Fourchu,
Cabot Strait, and all Gulf of St. Lawrence waters.
