Issued 8:00 PM AST 14 November 2024 Tonight and Friday At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight trough located on a line north-south over
the eastern Marine District.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Friday trough located from Cape Breton Island to
Laurentian Fan.

By 3:30 p.m. AST Friday low 986 mb located over Banquereau.

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight quasi-stationary ridge located from
Labrador to New England.


Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:53 PM AST 14 November 2024 A trough of low pressure over the eastern marine district will slowly
drift westward tonight and Friday. Strong to gale force northerlies
will persist across the district as a result, with a shift to strong
to gale force easterlies in the wake of the trough.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except for Fundy, Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges
Bank, Chaleur-Miscou - western half, and Anticosti - northwestern
half.

Marine interests are advised that higher than normal water levels and
pounding surf are expected along north and east facing coastlines of
the Gulf of St. Lawrence, Cabot Strait, and Fourchu Friday and Friday
night.

Outlook for the start-up of the Southwest New Brunswick lobster
fishery.
