northeastern Banquereau.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Tuesday low 975 mb located east of Newfoundland.
At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight ridge located over New England.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Tuesday ridge located over the southern Marine
District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:51 PM AST 8 December 2025 A low pressure system over Banquereau will lie near Southeastern
Newfoundland this evening. Gale to storm force northwesterlies will
persist across the district tonight in the wake of the low.
In addition, freezing spray is expected over most northern waters
tonight as these northwesterlies usher in cold air.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Banquereau - northern half. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters except Fundy, Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank,
Georges Bank, southwestern shore, LaHave Bank, West Scotian Slope,
and Northumberland Strait - western half.
Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Fundy, Grand Manan,
Lurcher, southwestern shore, eastern shore, Fourchu, Cabot Strait,
and all Gulf of St. Lawrence waters.
