Issued 8:00 PM ADT 28 March 2024 Tonight and Friday At 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight quasi-stationary trough located from
Anticosti Island to the Gulf of Maine.
At 10:00 a.m. ADT Friday deepening low 994 mb located southwest
of the Marine District.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Friday low 979 mb located over LaHave Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:37 PM ADT 28 March 2024 A stationary trough sits over the region today. An area of low
pressure will approach from the southwest on Friday. Strong to
Gale force southwesterly winds ahead of the low will veer to gale to
storm force west or northwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank and West Scotian Slope. Gale warnings are in effect for
Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, southwestern shore, LaHave Bank,
and East Scotian Slope - western half.
