of the Avalon Peninsula.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Tuesday low 959 mb located east of Belle Isle Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:55 AM NST 10 February 2025 An intensifying low pressure system southeast of the Avalon Peninsula
will continue to track northeastward today across the Grand Banks
today, to lie east of Belle Isle Bank tonight. Gale to storm force
southeasterlies to northeasterlies over southern waters ahead of the
low will shift to gale to hurricane force northwesterlies in its
wake.
Marine interests are advised that hurricane force wind warnings are
in effect for Funk Island Bank and the Grand Banks. Storm warnings
are in effect for South Coast, East Coast, and Belle Isle Bank.
Gale warnings are in effect for Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half,
Southwest Coast, and Northeast Coast.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Southeastern Grand Banks.
