* WHAT...Heavy snow expected for elevations above 5500 feet. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 4 feet and up to 5 feet along higher peaks. * WHERE...West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada and Western Plumas County/Lassen Park Counties. * WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 4 PM PST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Snow-covered roads, chain controls and travel delays are likely which will result in very difficult travel at times above 5500 feet. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels this afternoon will be high from 6000-7000 feet, then quickly lowering to around 5000 feet Saturday morning. Snowfall will decrease in intensity from late Saturday afternoon into Sunday, followed by heavy snow at times again Monday and Tuesday. In northern California, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, El Dorado, Glenn, Nevada, Sacramento, Solano, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba. * WHEN...Until 900 PM PST Friday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1135 AM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Sacramento, Elk Grove, Roseville, Fairfield, Vacaville, Citrus Heights, Folsom, Davis, Rocklin, Woodland, Auburn, Grass Valley, Marysville, Placerville, Jackson, Carmichael, Fair Oaks, El Dorado Hills, Rumsey and Cameron Park. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Information: Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northern California, including the following counties, Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Lassen, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra, Sutter, Tehama and Yuba. * WHEN...Until 900 AM PST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. Increasing water levels along streams and creeks with enhanced runoff in the Park Fire burn scar. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 901 AM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area. Between 3 and 10 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 4 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Chico, Paradise, Oroville, Pulga, Mineral, Brush Creek Rs, Chester, Quincy, Palermo, Shingletown, Glenn, Gridley, East Quincy, Mill Creek, Butte Meadows, Stirling City, Lovelock, De Sabla Powerhouse, Storrie and Forest Ranch. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Information: Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
