Alert Details:
* WHAT...Surf of 3 to 6 feet with sets up to 7 feet, highest at
south-facing beaches in Orange County. High rip current risk
and strong longshore currents.

* WHERE...San Diego County Coastal Areas and Orange County
Coastal Areas.

* WHEN...Through Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...Hazardous swimming conditions generated by high rip
current risk and strong longshore currents.

Information:
A beach hazards statement for rip currents means that conditions
are present to support a heightened risk of strong rip currents
and strong longshore currents. Rip currents are typically more
frequent and stronger in the vicinity of jetties...inlets...and
piers. Swimmers caught in a rip current should swim parallel to
the coast to escape the rip current before trying to swim for
shore. Always swim near a lifeguard.
