.PREV DISCUSSION...
SHORT TERM...Tonight through Saturday night...
A weak shortwave trough will remain across the Pacific
Northwest region tonight, with showers and thunderstorms
decreasing in the mountains later this evening. Late tonight and
early Friday morning, a second weak trough is expected to move
across the area and bring a 20-30% chance of rain across the
mountains of East-central OR and West-central ID. As this weak
shortwave steers northeastward, isolated thunderstorms will
develop near Baker City and McCall Friday afternoon. The
influence of a large upper ridge over the Four Corners region
will bring dry conditions and slight warming to the upper 80s
for the valleys through Saturday. Saturday night valley low
temperatures are expected to drop into the 50s and mid 60s and
higher elevation temperatures into the 40s.

LONG TERM...Sunday through Thursday...Dry through the
period with only slight day to day temperature changes.
Sunny Sunday and Monday. A broad upper trough off the
northwest coast Sunday will move inland Tuesday and
Wednesday with slight cooling and occasional cloudiness.
Sunny again Thursday as the trough exits east. Temperatures
will average 3 to 6 degrees above normal through the period.
No significant winds.
