Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Boise ID
147 PM MDT Mon Jun 2 2025

.SHORT TERM...Tonight through Wednesday night...Continued gusts
20 to 35 mph this afternoon evening, then again tomorrow
afternoon, even though they won`t be quite as strong as today.
That`s really the only weather to talk about. Otherwise, we will
be dry with temperatures near normal through the short term.
Skies are expected to remain mostly clear, with only periodic
high clouds passing overhead.

.LONG TERM...Thursday through Monday...Quiet through Monday. Upper-
level high pressure over the Pacific and troughing across the
central CONUS puts our area under dry, northwest flow aloft through
the end of the work week. While periodic shortwaves will propagate
through the flow aloft, the moisture wont be in place to result in
any more than periods of clouds. Chances of precipitation <10%
through Sunday. Deterministic and ensembles are in good agreement of
the ridge over the Pacific progressing inland through the week, with
it over our area by this weekend. Temperatures steadily warm through
the week as 500mb heights rise ahead of and under the ridge,
increasing from around 5 degrees above normal on Thursday to 10-15
degrees above normal come Monday.
