Showers will continue to taper off throughout the afternoon
leading into a return to dry, mild weather into early next week
outside of possible afternoon and evening thunderstorms. Late
next week continues to show chances for rain and snow travel
impacts but mainly mountain showers.

-Warming trend begins along with drier weather

     thunderstorms in the Sierra south of I-80

* Friday and next Saturday

    -Cooling trend returns with chances of showers in the
     mountains, foothills, and northern Sacramento Valley.
    -Isolated mountain thunderstorms possible with breezy onshore
     winds.
    -Snow levels generally above pass levels, with light high
     elevation snowfall currently expected, though exact details
     remain uncertain at this point.

.AVIATION...

General VFR conditions across interior NorCal next 24 hours, with
some isolated MVFR/IFR in lingering rain/snow showers over the
Sierra Nevada through 00Z Monday. For the Sierra Crest, southwest
winds of 10 to 15 kts with gusts 20 to 25 kts. Elsewhere,
southerly winds of 12 kts or less expected. Winds then turn to the
north/east after 09Z-12Z Monday.
