People with heart and lung conditions are most affected by air pollution.

If you have respiratory or heart problems, you should always pay attention to your symptoms, even when the level of risk is low.
The AQHI is an initiative of Environment Canada, Health Canada, the B.C. Ministry of Environment and Parks, the B.C. Ministry of Health Services, the Capital Regional District, The City of Colwood, and the B.C. Lung Association.
