.SHORT TERM (Today through Wednesday)...
Not much change in high temperatures is expected for today with
high temperatures ranging from around 5 degrees above average
near the coast to 10 to 15 degrees above average for the deserts.
High temperatures for today will range from the lower to mid 70s
near the coast to the mid 90s to 103 for the Inland Empire with

cooling spreading inland on Tuesday and Wednesday with Wednesday
high temperatures a few degrees above average near the coast to 5
to 10 degrees above average for inland areas.
The marine layer is around 1000 feet deep early this morning with
locally dense fog near the mesas and other higher coastal
terrain. The marine layer will begin to slowly deepen by Wednesday
with night and morning coastal low clouds returning to the far
western valleys.
&&
.LONG TERM (Thursday through Sunday)...
Low pressure centered near the West Coast will bring stronger
onshore flow and weaken high pressure aloft over southern
California. This will continue the cooling trend into next
weekend with high temperatures around average near the coast to a
few to around 5 degrees below average for the valleys, mountains,
and deserts. High temperatures for next weekend will range from
the lower 70s near the coast to the 80s to around 90 for the
